Automechanika NEC Exhibition: MCAV, KTN and Conigital working together to showcase a successful Future of Transport Exhibition

During 4th to 6th June, Automechanika took over the NEC Birmingham. Automechanika Birmingham is UK’s leading exhibition for the automotive aftermarket and vehicle production sector. With over 12,000 decision-makers from Original Equipment Manufacturer’s aftermarket and supply chain and over 500 exhibitors in attendance stretching across four large halls at the NEC, it really was an event not to be missed for automotive experts and business professionals.

Midlands Connected Autonomous Vehicles (“MCAV”) soon to be International Connected Autonomous Vehicles (“ICAV”), co-exhibited alongside Knowledge Transfer Network (“KTN”) and Conigital showcasing support and latest developments in the CAV industry.

KTN is Innovate UK’s network partner and also provides innovation networking for other funders in line with its mission to drive UK growth. Conigital successfully acquired funding from three Innovate UK Projects, with these consortium projects totaling £13.2 million.

George Filip, KTN Manager for Connected Autonomous Vehicles, said, “The Knowledge Transfer Network is proud to have hosted Conigital at the KTN expo area at Automechanika, allowing the participants to learn more about future of mobility. Furthermore, Conigital delivered a presentation in the KTN keynote session on “Tomorrow’s Mobility”. KTN will continue working with and supporting Conigital in their plan to expand and transform the way in which we travel.”

Monique Seth, Partner of Conigital presented “Tomorrow’s Mobility” and reported, “Automechanika proved to be a fabulous event showcasing innovative technology in the automotive supply chain. Conigital, in association with MCAV and the KTN, were asked to present on the latest developments in the CAV industry and to talk through potential societal benefits. Our thoughts were presented to an informed crowd in the main auditorium. Already there  has been significant response in respect of the MCAV cluster and meaningful ways of engagement.”

With the positive responses and interest received, Automechanika is a future space for companies in the autonomous industry to thrive, gain opportunities and stand out from the crowd.
